Das Aufsuchen pädiatrischer Notfallambulanzen und Kinderarztpraxen aufgrund nichtdringlicher Behandlungsnotwendigkeit führt im Herbst 2022 zu einer der bisher größten Überlastungssituationen der Versorgungseinrichtungen.Als ursächlich dafür zeigt sich nach zwei Jahren Pandemie einerseits ein hohes Infektionsgeschehen sowie andererseits eine deutliche Zunahme der Verunsicherung von Eltern im Umgang mit ihrem kranken Kind.Elterliche Gesundheitskompetenz beeinflusst maßgeblich das gesundheitliche Outcome von Kindern sowie das Nutzerverhalten von Gesundheitseinrichtungen und stellt damit eine Schlüsselkompetenz hinsichtlich gesundheitlicher Chancengleichheit dar.Damit Eltern emanzipierte Entscheidungen treffen können, ist es unabdingbar, dass diese Gesundheitsinformationen finden, verstehen und einordnen können.Die vorliegende Arbeit analysiert personale Beratungsangebote, die über das Internet beworben werden. Die Erhebung erfolgte exemplarisch für eine Großstadt in Baden-Württemberg.Es zeigt sich eine unübersichtliche, lückenhafte Beratungslandschaft mit vereinzelt thematischer Schwerpunktsetzung.Die aktuellen bundesweiten Entwicklungen von PORT Gesundheitszentren und der damit verbundenen neuen Aufgabenfelder akademisch qualifizierter Pflegefachpersonen zeigt sich als richtungsweisend für Eltern hinsichtlich eines niederschwelligen Zugangs zu Beratung und der damit verbundenen Steigerung elterlicher Gesundheitskompetenz.
