- "Bah! Humbug!" A Christmas Carol is Charles Dickens's timeless festive tale of transformation, redemption and compassion. One Christmas Eve Ebenezer Scrooge, the uncharitable, loathsome miser, is visited by the spirit of his dead partner, Jacob Marley. Marley, now a ghost condemned to wander the Earth in chains as punishment for his greedy and self-serving lifestyle warns Scrooge, who soon falls into a deep sleep. Over the course of the night, Scrooge is visited by three further phantoms. the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present and Christmas Future. Through these three visions, Scrooge learns the error of ways, and he awakes on Christmas day ready to right the wrongs of Christmases past. Accompanying a the three-part special from Steven Knight (Taboo, Peaky Blinders) starring Guy Pearce, Andy Serkis, Stephen Graham, Charlotte Riley, Joe Alwyn, Vinette Robinson, Jason Flemyng, Kayvan Novak and Lenny Rush.
