- Synopsis
- This is a two page document showing a labelled bar chart of the UK companies that spend most on R&D (research and development), and on page one, a key to this page. There is a locator dot shown, which will be at the top left of each page when the image is the correct way up. Key to top UK spenders in R&D: The key to the abbreviations is shown in the top half of the page with the abbreviations on the left and the meanings on the right. The key to the textures (colours) is in the bottom part of the page with the textures (colours) on the left and their meaning on the right. Top UK spenders in R&D: There is a Y-axis going vertically up the left side of the page. It shows money spent on R&D in units of one million pounds, going up the scale. The vertical bars, representing the money spent on R&D by each company, are arranged in a row. They go from the tallest on the left of the page to the shortest on the right. The bars are labelled with abbreviations down the page. Each bar has one of three textures (colours on Large Print version) representing three areas of business. The meanings of the abbreviations and textures (colours) are shown on the key on page one.
