- These pages show a map of Africa with an accompanying key. It is a multi-page image set on three pages. There is a locator dot shown on each page, which will be at the top left when the image is the correct way up. Key to map of Africa. The key is in two columns showing the abbreviations of countries and the names of the capital cities found on the map. The abbreviations are to the left and countries’ names are to the right. Then there is a list of the countries on the map with their capital cities to the right. the braille key fits across 2 pages. The large print text key is on only 1 page, so a blank page has been inserted in the large print versionMap of Africa. Africa fills the page with part of the Middle East shown in the top right of the page. The map is surrounded by an image border. There is a north arrow in the bottom left corner of the page. Within the image border the textured (blue on large print) areas represent the sea and lakes. Some countries are labelled with an abbreviation and some with their full names. Due to lack of space the letter sign has been omitted from the abbreviations and some small countries are not labelled. This information can be found on an alternate map. The position of the capital city of each country is marked by an open circle symbol.
