Synopsis: Covering the Third Level Outcomes and Experiences for PE within the Health and Wellbeing Faculty, Active Physical Education provides rich tasks, interdisciplinary links, applications to real life experience and project ideas to support pupils’ skills development and learning as they progress through Curriculum for Excellence. Designed to support the implementation of Curriculum for Excellence, Active Physical Education covers the Third Level Outcomes and Experiences for PE in a manner which matches the philosophy of the new curriculum. Each double page spread contains rich tasks, interdisciplinary links, an extension exercise and real life applications so that pupils develop their skills as well as their knowledge and understanding. At the end of each unit, there is an assessment checklist, more activities to try and ideas for cross-curricular project work.
