- Synopsis
- This page shows four diagrams. There is a locator dot shown, which will be at the top left when the image is the correct way up. The diagram in the top left of the page is a triangular prism shown in three dimensions so two of the shape's different surfaces can be seen at the same time. The surfaces on the other side and the bottom of the prism would only be seen if it were made of transparent material. The hidden edges are each indicated by a dashed line because they would not actually be seen. A cross section taken anywhere along its length would be the same triangular shape the end surface is. In the bottom left of the page is the net of the prism. This is the shape it would make if some edges were split and it was flattened out. The triangular ends are to the left and right. The three surfaces of its length are in the middle of the image The diagram in the top right of the page is a cylinder shown in three dimensions so two of the shape's different surfaces can be seen at the same time. The surfaces on the other side of the cylinder would only be seen if it were made of transparent material. The hidden edge is indicated by a dashed line because it would not actually be seen. A cross section taken anywhere along its length would be the same circular shape the end surface is. In the bottom right of the page is the net of the cylinder. This is the shape it would make if some edges were split and it was flattened out. The circular ends are to the left and right. The surface of its length is in the middle of the image.
