- Synopsis
- This image shows the head and shoulders of a man facing forward so all facial features can be found. There is a locator dot shown, which will be at the top left of the page when the image is the correct way up. The image is surrounded by an image border. This is a portrait of Mao Tse-Tung who was the leader of communist China for many years. At the top of the image is his hair. It is thick and sticks out to the left and right but thinner on top where he has a receding hairline. It is a very dark brown colour, nearly black. Down from his high forehead he has two short bushy eyebrows. Down from these are his narrow eyes, his nose then his mouth, he has a small bump on his chin. He wears a simple cotton tunic buttoned up at the throat. It is a dull khaki colour and typical of the simple clothing that was all that was available to wear at the height of his power.
